This film started with a decent idea but had no idea where it was going with it or how to convey its ultimate message at all. If it wanted to be a low-budget indie dark comedy, it could have done that (but it wasn't funny).
If it wanted to be a visually interesting fantasy or psychological exploration, it could have done that (but it didn't have the money and it was nothing to look at). Instead, it starts out interesting and just lets you down.
