Review of Spartan (2004) by Noel K — 10 Jun 2009
A political and human thriller by David Mamet, who trusts more than ever in our ability to interpret and recognize clues and plot threads without needing to explicitly explain his film. Mamet works like a virtuoso, laying the foundations for the many effective reveals later on, while keeping us invested in the fate of the President's daughter and why some people are only too eager to move on.
