Review of Spartacus (1960) by Edith N — 16 Feb 2010
Big, fat, epic film-making of which both Braveheart and Gladiator owe a debt. This is a classic that people have either seen or plan to, and the 3+ hour runtime doesn't drag.
Douglas is mesmerising in the lead role and the supporting cast do the rest of the work.
I can't say anything that hasn't been said before, and absolutely recommend it.
