Review of Spartacus (1960) by Jared S — 13 Nov 2011
Kirk Douglas does a fascinating job as Spartacus in Stanley Kubrick's most mainstream and least-Kubrick film to his name. The film is 3 and 1/2 hours long, but it really doesn't drag much at all.
There are several entertaining bits and several good performances (one from 11 time Academy Award Nominee Laurence Olivier).
