Review of Spartacus (1960) by Mark P — 15 Jun 2012
Okay, so slave girls probably didn't look like Jean Simmons stepping out of a beauty salon, but this remains an incredible film. Triumphant and tragic, hopeful and cautionary. If you don't get teary eyed when Simmons shows the crucified Spartacus his son at the end, you may not be human.
