Emotionally devastating with Meryl Streep giving the performance of her career. Which is saying a lot! Despite the heart-breaking nature of its story, there are many uplifting and inspiring moments. Also, Kevin Kline and Peter MacNicol contribute greatly.
This is arguably Alan J. Pakula's finest hour.
