Review of Sophie's Choice (1982) by Taylor B — 18 Jun 2008
I really don't know what to make of this movie. Don't get me wrong Meryl Streep was amazing, and all the scenes from during the Holocaust were gut-wrenching, particularly of course the 'choice scene'.
Yet the main story in the present was somewhat weak, Kline's character irritating. Essentially the post-war story failed to deal effectively with post-Holocaust life.
