Review of Sophie's Choice (1982) by Crispyfur C — 07 Jan 2009
Pretty good. Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline are phenomenal and Streep's face during the most important scene of the film is one of the most horrific things I have ever seen on film. I also loved Marvin Hamlisch's soaring, hopeful score.
Especially in the scene when Sophie and Nathan toast Stringo on the bridge. My main problem with the film is Stringo. The narration is annoying and his "journey" didn't interest me at all.
