Review of Sophie's Choice (1982) by Norm D — 23 Feb 2017
Streep's performance in the 2nd hour of "Sophie's Choice" is jaw-droppingly astounding, certainly one of the best female performances in cinema of all time. The only other one nearly to equal it, but without the poignancy, is Cotillard in "La Vie en Rose.
" These 2 performances are in an awesome Oscar class all of their own and should be seen by any fan of cinema as an art form for actors.
