Review of Sophie's Choice (1982) by Vít?Zslav V — 10 Jul 2009
Well its quite obvious to see why Meryl Streep won best actress with her perfect polish accent and broken english, in a simply riveting role as a women tormented by her past in a concentration camp, her brilliant but mad jewish-american boyfriend, and their young southern author best friend and neighbor.
Guilt, sin, lies, memory, madness, codependency, love, friendship, and a mothers love co mingle in a powerful and unforgettable story.
