Review of Sophie Scholl: The Final Days (2005) by Ryan H — 12 Jun 2007
Moving portrayal of the last days of one of the members of the White Rose, about which other movies have been made. This movie used recently discovered transcripts of Sophie Scholl's interrogation and trial to make a new film, and true to German film-making, it is self-aware in its use of these details and pedantic in the visual presentation.
I agree with others that this could not have been made in America. Her courage and example deserve to be remembered.
