Review of Songs from the Second Floor (2000) by Robert D — 08 Oct 2010
Fantastic film and unlike any I have seen before, using a static camera and one take to capture each vignette. This makes the mise-en-scene equally as important, and sometimes more important, than the action in focus.
Equally tragic and comic, this film depicts a an urban apocalypse which has thrown its inhabitants into a surreal living hell of alienation and hopelessness.
