Review of Song of the South (1946) by Darren R — 29 Jul 2007
Unreleased in the US, having been disowned by Disney, SONG OF THE SOUTH is a rare gem. Although "politically incorrect," it merely is refelctive of attitudes of the time. The only willing reference Disney makes is Splash Mountain, which many kids have always wondered who those characters are.
The Uncle Remus tales were always a favourite of mine as a kid, and here are three of the best.
