Review of The Wind in the Willows (2006) by Clayton R — 14 May 2009
So, after reading "The Wind in the Willows" we loaded up the queue with several film adaptations and, while none of them were completely satisfying, this one seemed to me the best. I wasn't particularly happy with the last half hour's departure from the book, but the rest of it was true and Mr.
Toad was well played. In fact, the make-up to make Toad, Rat, Mole and Badger look like what they are without being over-the-top was well done. As far as the characters go, this, like the other adaptations, don't seem to get Mole right.
This one makes him too cowardly.
