Review of Song of the South (1946) by Jeff E — 19 Jan 2007
I think this is a great movie. It was sad to see the racism presented towards certain characters in the movie, but I thought that it's a subject that shouldn't be avoided. I thought it portrayed the slaves as strong and resilient, despite the ill treatment they receive from others.
I know I never once thought that the movie upheld racism as being all right.
