Review of Somewhere (2010) by Luisa L — 02 Apr 2011
I'm still thinking if the fast Ferrari was a paradox to the film itself, which is way slower than my great grandmother in a wheelchair.
It took extremely long to start, from about minute 7 it was perfectly understood how he lived a monotonous and empty life, it didn't had to extend to 1 hour of the same tedious routine. I envied Johny so badly when I saw him sleep, this movie can be the cure for insomnia.
Furthermore, if Johny was such a great movie star, why did he dressed like that? The costume design was really sad.
I sincerely would had preferred that Johny had killed himself at the end when he decides to park at the middle of nowhere and walk with a smile on his face... If he had died, I think that would have give a little action and sour flavor to the movie. But since it didn't, it just ended as empty as what Johny's life was.
