Everyone seems to hate this film, but I think it's Coppola's best film to date (yes, even better than Lost In Translation). Never have I seen such biting social criticism portrayed so beautiful.
The emptiness of the characters' shallow lives is communicated brilliantly by Sofia's use of very long, very still shots.
