Only the patient movie fan will thoroughly enjoy this one. I like dramas and films like this, as long as story is good. I did enjoy this one but there just wasn't enough going on. Dorff plays a successful, popular actor, whose daughter shows up one morning at his hotel door.
Her mom left for a while so she is going to spend time with him. The movie shows their bonding over a couple weeks; trip to Italy for an awards show, and other various Hollywood stuff. The movie follows them around, yet there isn't true depth to the characters that we learn.
Nothing dramatic really happens. When she leaves for camp she is obviously sad and in a way you can see Dorffs transformation to being a better father. Not enough here to make it an above average movie.
Would of loved more to happen, and maybe more about who the characters actually were. I see what the filmaker was going for but it wasn't enough for me.
