Review of Sometimes in April (2005) by Christopher T — 22 Jun 2007
If you don't know anything about the genocide in Rwanda in 1994 (and prior), then this film is a MUST SEE. Even if you think you know everything, you still ought to watch this movie...this film doesn't pull any punches in exposing the tragedy, violence and international apathy that marked these several months in 1994.
It also wrestles with the legacy of 1994, how does a nation, communities, families, individuals, heal and find reconciliation? Powerful, powerful film...
