Hotel Rwanda was a broad view of the genocide in Rwanda told through one man's eyes, but that man affected many, many people. Sometimes in April is a closer, more intimate look at the genocide's effects on one man and his family.
He is Hutu, his brother is Hutu, but his wife is Tutsi. His children are Hutu. But the wife's status, which was just a label given to the Rwandans by the Dutch imperialists, jeopardizes them all.
