I first saw this film as a child, and was even then captivated by the story. The book, needless to say, is amazing, and the film does it justice.
I'm positively in love with Jonathan Pryce's portrayal of Mr. Dark. He managed to be sincerely creepy and sinister without overacting. This film is one of my all time top ten favorites.
