Review of Somers Town (2008) by Nick D — 03 Sep 2008
Charming if inconclusive little film, potters along happily telling a simple story, it's acted well though - in my opinion - newcomer Piotr Jagiello punts Thomas Turgoose off the screen with his restrained and touching performance; though that's not to belittle Turgoose, he is just burdened with the 'showier' role.
It's a good film, but - as Meadows' softer dramas go - it's no 'Twentyfourseven'.
