Review of Somers Town (2008) by Trevor P — 22 Mar 2009
Shane Meadows is in my opinion the most promising British director of the moment. This film is a pleasant enough story but it is short at 75mins and would be more suited for a TV release. Thomas Turgoose (who was also in the superior This Is England) shows excellent potential and is one to watch his portrayal of the character he plays is so believable you have to remind yourself that you are actually watching a film and not witnessing something in real life.
