Review of Somers Town (2008) by Tibor B — 01 Jun 2009
Shane Meadows pulls out another bittersweet slice of life of film. Brilliant natualistic acting from the boys again. Beautiful subtle black and white cinematography. A few real funny moments and a few scares.
Characters connected by their lonliness and lust for a beautiful french girl. It's a short film with a running time of just over an hour but it's so simple and brilliantly put together that it's a joy to watch.
