Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Keith C — 30 May 2018
A great movie! I loved every minute of it. It had solid influence of Westerns to the point of trigger twirling and train heists. It was well paced and well acted (Glover owned his role and I forgot he was filling shoes most of the time.
) After Clarke completely missed the mark on Terminator Genesys I was more doubtful of her performance than fans had of Alden). All of them pulled it off solidly. Even if you still dog Alden for his Solo performance, I'll remind you of how lazy Liam Neeson was and no one batted an eye.
I really wish media would let up on the behind the scenes drama before the movie comes out. If no one knew who directed it, who was fired, why, etc and went into the movie with no expectations expect wanting to enjoy a good star wars movie.
This was a far step up then the cluster f**k that was The Last Jedi. I expect Lando to start dry humping his droid side kick based on all the pan-sexual yada yada articles trying to sour a movie they haven't seen.
And though I wouldn't past it after Laura Dern's character but that wasn't the case with Solo.
