Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Jack M — 31 May 2018

This film has been unjustly treated, forget about The Last Jedi and what Disney has done to Star Wars, try to go in with a clear mind. It is wrong to compare this type of film to the original trilogy. Instead of a grand sweeping space fantasy epic, we get a window into Star Wars's dirty underground, the film plays out as an action heist thriller and pulls it off very well.

The characters are well acted and overall the writing is solid, except for some questionable writing in regards to the feminist robot. When you view it for what it is, an all out action film and not as a long, epic series like the trilogies, you will enjoy this film.

The performances were great, Donald Glover standing out and features some brilliant action sequences, it has its twists and turns as well. I'll defend this film against anyone haha.
