Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Rasean W — 31 May 2018

My favorite Star Wars movie since the Original Trilogy. Tons of fun. So refreshing to get away from lightsabers and the force and blowing up giant doomsday devices in favor of a smaller story that takes real time to invest in character development.

I was so concerned that I'd be constantly reminded that Harrison Ford was missing from the roll, but Alden Ehrenrich nailed it. I complete bought him as Solo immediately. The chemistry between him and Chewie was magic.

It's definitely not a perfect movie. There were a couple of colossal mistakes I wish they didn't make. But they weren't severe enough to take me out of enjoying this very fun Star Wars movie.
