Review of Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) by Sir A — 02 Jun 2018
Compared to the disaster of TLJ this movie is a big jump onto more acceptable narrative tracks. The actors are good, the dialogues are fine, there is a good amount of correct humor (not the totally out of place one of TLJ) and great effects as usual.
Big problem is the screenplay that doesn't risk too much and in the end doesn't surprise too much the viewer, more or less like in Rogue One. There is some "mandatory" SJWism (thank you Katleen Kennedy :( ) but luckily is not so annoying respect to TLJ.
Despite some flaws here and there is a nice movie and doesn't deserve to bomb at the boxoffice.
