Review of Soapdish (1991) by Mary R — 13 Jan 2010
Absolutely hysterical. Some of the best actors of the time, and they live up to the reputation they have now. Sally Field plays the perfect egotistical, insane Soap star. Kevin Kline is the perfect mix of insane and lovable, as always. Robert Downey Jr's character is hysterical and possibly the best looking one on the set. Whoppi Goldberg is great, too, although it is not one of her best roles; she seems to fade to the background.
Hysterical with a great plot. It's not that sappy, trust me, or I would never have watched it. A fantastic satire of Soap Operas.
