Review of Soapdish (1991) by Min K — 10 Dec 2011
Campy and satirical, Soapdish is particularly a treat for those who are part of the acting community (we got some crazies!). The talented cast seems to have a lot of fun lampooning their craft with over-acted, melodramatic performances.
It's nice to see Field and Kline not take themselves too seriously. Some great writing and dramatic reveals as well. The vibrant colors and the mischievous score round this film out to be the playful, dizzying organized chaos that it is.
