Sweet chemistry between Carrie (Sally Field) and Bandit (Burt Reynolds). So natural and convincing were the smooching scenes that there was no surprise their romance continued off screen. Burt Reynolds showed that its ok to wear gaudy jewelry and still be manly.
Sally Field was really the 'Smokey' in this film. Watch it and you know why.
