Review of Smokey and the Bandit (1977) by Kevin S — 08 Mar 2014
A fast talking ,fast riding guy by the name of bandit gets requested to haul a truck of beer to the state of Texas which is also bootlooging and against the law and he is also being chased by a pesky sheriff.
Along the way he picks up carrie who is a runaway bride of the sheriff's son and that's the main reason he is being chased. The car chase scenes and the car crashes are excellent especially for its time.
Burt Reynolds was awesome but I think jackie gleason who played the sheriff stole the show. He was downright hilarious. Sally fields was good here too. It keeps you quite entertained through the whole movie.
There is not one part of the movie where your jaw hasn't dropped from the chasing or wrecking and you also get a lot of good laughs. This movie is fast paced pure entertainment at it's finest.
