Review of Smokey and the Bandit (1977) by 1, 2, 3, And To The Yo — 08 Jan 2009
A classic! I showed this to someone who hadn't seen it and didn't think she'd enjoy it, but it's difficult not to love Jerry Reed, Burt Reynolds at his megalomaniacal prime and the ever adorable Sally Field.
Sadly, it was on CMT, so the artistry that was Jackie Gleason's cursing was lost, but it's still a wonderful time capsule back to the late-70s south when Coors was champagne and T-top Trans-Ams were the dream car of a generation.
