Review of Smiles of a Summer Night (1955) by Grayson D — 24 Aug 2009
Bergman's most light hearted movie and proof that they weren't all about suffering, loss and mortality , this inspired Sondheim's A little night music as well as Woody Allen's A midsummer nights sex comedy.
As is usual with Bergman all the performances are brilliant especially from the actresses, particularly Eva Dahlbeck.
