Review of Smiles of a Summer Night (1955) by Andy C — 09 May 2010
I cannot say it's a flawless film, but Ingmar Bergman had already planted the seed of his mind-blowing talent in this light-hearted film. Moreover, I need to give kudos to Hugh Wheeler and Stephen Sondheim of making another classic through this wonderful film.
I mean, it's hard to come out the book and lyrics of "A Little Night Music" through this film.
