Review of Sleep Dealer (2008) by Curt J — 03 Oct 2009
You might not expect a small farm in Oaxaca, Mexico to set the stage of a science fiction movie, but the ordinary setting helps make this movie that more plausible. If the U.S. were to seal it's borders, it's not difficult to imagine this scenario of a new kind of cheap virtual labor or how it could be exploited.
This was really well done and has been recognized by several film festivals.
