Review of Slaughterhouse-Five (1972) by Aidan H — 25 Jul 2009
Like the appalling Zabriski Point, S5 continues the lesson in how so-called seminal 60's movie never seem to play well in other decades. The novel may have seduced us into gasps of awe but the leaden shifting between time zones leaves us in little doubt of our hero's fate in the movie.
Nudity aside, there is little to recommend this as anything but a cinematic history lesson. What's next@ Jean Luc-Godard.
