Review of Slaughterhouse-Five (1972) by Leia C — 07 Oct 2008
TRITE. God almighty. I need to stop seeing movies based on good books. This movie completely misses the point of the book: Billy Pilgrim's fatalistic denial of free will. The film overstates this philosophy while failing to show the character's expression of it.
Combine subpar acting with a rotten script and you have a film that mangles an excellent book.
