Review of Slacker Uprising (2007) by Jesse C — 01 Nov 2008
Michael Moore?s movie ?Slacker Uprising? which he donated to his fans as a 'freebie' is nothing more than a pity party for his defeat and Bush's victory in 2004. Moore desperately wants to a. re-live the 60?s revolution that he couldn?t be a part of or b. wants to bone hot college girls that he convinces to vote during his desperate campaign. Throughout the movie, Moore praises himself as much as possible, almost to make himself feel better about all the people who dislike him. I thought I didn't dislike him until I saw this.
It?s a disaster of a movie and does not stick to the documentary type formula that worked so well earlier in his career. I?m sorry Moore, you were a great documentary maker back in the day, like the one about Michigan?s poor people who got kicked out of working at GM or whatever he was complaining about then, it was a lot more reasonable than the current Michael Moore. I see why South Park makes fun of him so much.
WASTE OF BLOODY TIME!!!
