Review of Slacker Uprising (2007) by Itamar K — 08 Sep 2010
Slacker Uprising is not a Michael Moore film in the usual sense, because it has no message of its own and is mainly an act of self-promotion to contrast with all the best publicity he's been getting from Republicans since the release of Fahrenheit 9/11.
It shows Mr. Moore as the hard worker and very talented speaker that he is, in a way that we haven't seen since the wonderful Awful Truth series. Unfortunately, it's just not enough to carry a film this long, and especially knowing how that election turned out, the whole thing leaves a bitter taste.
If you're a Moore fan you might want to add this to your collection, but even I had a hard time watching the whole thing so keep your expectations low.
