Review of Skyscraper (2018) by Uryea V — 19 Jul 2018
The beginning has a good hook and the tower design is amazing thanks to the great CGI in the film, but it leads to disappointment with the story using China and its people as props and backdrops, the advertisement of how great duct tape can be in a life and death situation, and the obsessive usage of the Rock character's luck (lucky to have lived through the 1st trama, lucky to have found a great wife, lucky to have such cute kids and more luck going forward).
Overall the movie has a flat storyline about the value of family and does a quick job of retracting our suspension to disbelief due to the fail exacution of the three disappointments meantion above.
