Review of Skyfall (2012) by Trey W — 20 Aug 2015
Silva: Bond, all this fighting it's exhaustingâ¦just relax.
Bond is back and getting shot more than ever. Somehow miraculously survived getting sniped in the chest, falling 150 feet off a train, and plunging into a waterfall. And guess where he is afterward? With his women. BIG surprise. Like he could heal himself instantly. But we all know no matter how many times James Bond gets shot at he'll always somehow survive.
Well as I was saying, this is how you do a bond movie! It's smart, funny, touching, sad, and a bit depressing. And the performance from Javier Burden was amazing. He makes a great Bond villain because he's smart, funny and likable. It has a lot of improvement over the between okay and good movie Quantum of Solace. It may not be as sexy or as good as Casino Royale. But it's more clever, and more action packed.
92% B.
