Review of Skeleton Crew (2009) by J.j.s.p. W — 31 Jan 2010
Skeleton Crew is an awful-looking, poorly-acted piece of C-level horror cinema, but it does feature a decent premise that film strives to execute in the style of Saw, Hostel, Turistas, Wolf Creek, etc.
It pales in comparison to even the worst of those films, but it does featuer loads of gore, plenty of twists in the plot, and plenty of eroticism and nudity. It is not a great film and it gets to the point where it makes little sense even as a piece of surrealistic filmmaking, but it is balls-out horror filmmaking, and hence it gets my kudos for that.
