Review of Sisters (2015) by Matthew F. J — 01 Jan 2016
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are often entertaining and funny on the SNL. Unfortunately the transition to cinema is not exactly as successful. Sisters is a comedy that tries really hard to be funny. Both leads are appealing but somehow they seem to be a little too old for that type of comedy that usually plays with teens.
Here we have these two grown up ladies acting like kids and behaving like spoil brats. sure there is plenty of heart, some parts are well written and overall the film will find an audience in theaters but I doubt it will be remembered in a few month.
It's well packaged and appealing but in the end the film does not live up to its promesses in my opinion.
