Review of Sisters (2015) by Richard H — 17 Feb 2017
Sisters is a bit of light fun starring two of the funniest humans around. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are engaging but are let down by a fairly lack lustre script that can't match their talents. They play sisters who return to their family home and realize that their lives haven't exactly panned out as expected.
There are some genuinely hysterical moments on display but overall the film is sporadic and uneven with a fairly predictable path. Maya Rudolph is superb also as their adversary but generally the vehicle just doesn't match the talents.
