A star-studded cast in an under-appreciated film about a family left behind when their father/husband heads off into WWII. It is especially poignant since when it was made, no one had any idea when the war would end.
Some great music from the time is featured and this has THE MOST BEAUTIFUL black and white cinematography you will ever see anywhere.
