Review of Since Otar Left (2003) by Carolyn D — 26 Oct 2007
Funny, sad, sweet, poignant, surprising -- all apply to this beautiful story of three generations of women living under one roof in post-Communist Tbilisi. And how refreshing that the character of the grandmother is so richly developed -- minus the tiresome stereotypes of old people we're used to seeing.
