Review of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) by Tonysopranoz — 25 Aug 2014

This movie was not as intelligent as the first one, but it was more exciting and the special effects were an improvement over the first one. It deserved a better critical reception and it also doesn't deserve to be a box office bomb. Eva Green was incredible and so was Jessica Alba. Marv was great as always, although he was dumbed down compared to the first Sin City. Josh Brolin was good too, although not as good as Clive Owen was in the first Sin City. If Clive Owen had been in this one too, this movie would have been amazing. Powers Boothe was excellent.

In summary, I was very satisfied with this sequel. It did some things worse than its predecessor but some things were improved. Overall I would say it was just as good as the first Sin City and I hope they can somehow make another sequel despite this one's poor box office performance.
