Review of Silent Running (1972) by Simeon M — 16 Oct 2007
Silent Running is a fantastic early science fiction film, presenting a fascinating concept of the modern preservation of the value of our environment and our willingness to sacrifice it for other, more transient, benefits.
Features of the film clearly influence many later science fiction works, and its value to the genre therefore is considerable. The effects have dated relatively well and bad haircuts aside, if you enjoy science fiction film and are curious about its development, take the time to watch the film.
