Review of Silent Running (1972) by Scott R — 26 May 2014
Considered to be a bit of a cult classic, this is a decent sci-fi film that unfortunately hasn't aged well. It deals with environmental issues which is admirable, but the story is flawed. It's directed by the SFX master who did "2001: A Space Odyssey", "Blade Runner" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" so it's interesting to see what he does here.
Bruce Dern gives an engaging performance and made it worth watching for me. Give it a try if your a fan of Sci-fi.
